On January 5, 2024, Geely Galaxy E8, equipped with the world’s first 45-inch 8K borderless smart cockpit screen developed by BOE, was launched globally. Its near-retina level display with 8K resolution with 98% active area combines driver panel, central control, and passenger panel into one. This innovation sets a new standard in automotive display technology and aesthetics.
At BOE’s booth #3141 at LVCC West Hall, the Geely Galaxy E8 will make an exclusive appearance at CES 2024 from January 9th to 12th. In partnership with Geely, BOE is redefining the smart cabin design for electric cars, offering an ultra-high-definition, integrated interactive experience .
Geely Galaxy E8’s unified screen design differentiate itself from the mainstream multi-screen layout. A single 45-inch screen stretches from the driver to the passenger with each section operating independently. It enhances driver safety while caters to the passenger needs. With touch integrated into the display, this design reduces the number of components from ten to seven, saving 1 kilogram in weight, and achieving a 9.8mm thickness profile with a 7.5mm slim bezel.
In 2023, BOE officially launched the “HERO” concept with global partners for promoting multi-scenario smart cockpit experiences. The 45-inch 8K borderless smart screen for Geely Galaxy E8 enables the integration of healthiness (H), entertainment(E), relaxation(R), and office(O) scenarios. As a leading provider of smart cockpit solutions, BOE has been supplying display solutions to many auto brands. According to Omdia, BOE has shipped the most automotive displays globally in 2023.
