Honor has unveiled its next-generation ultra-thin folding flagship products, the Magic V3 and Vs3 series, featuring BOE’s innovative f-OLED flexible folding OLED screens. This collaboration with Honor marks another significant milestone for BOE, showcasing its strong technical traction in defining high-end phone display standards.
The Honor Magic V3 and Vs3 series come equipped with BOE’s cutting-edge OLED screens, setting new benchmarks in lightweight design. The inner screen of these models features a 7.92-inch folding OLED screen with a waterdrop hinge design, reducing the folding radius to just 1.9 mm. This not only makes the phone body thinner but also significantly minimizes screen creases.
In terms of durability, the Magic V3 and Vs3 phone displays are industry leaders, capable of withstanding up to 500,000 folds. For superior phone display quality, both the inner and outer OLED screens incorporate BOE’s latest LTPO technology, enabling an adaptive dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz.
The inner OLED screen boasts a peak brightness of 1600 nits, while the outer OLED screen achieves an impressive 5000 nits, ensuring clear visibility even under direct sunlight. The 6.43-inch outer OLED screen also utilizes advanced micro-prism technology to aggregate light through the refraction principle, enhancing brightness while reducing power consumption.
BOE and Honor continue to innovate in creating eye-friendly phone displays. The Magic V3 and Vs3 phone displays utilize BOE’s high-frequency PWM dimming technology. The inner OLED screen features a PWM rate of 3840Hz, and the outer OLED screen reaches 4320Hz, significantly reducing potential eye strain caused by screen flicker in low-light environments.
As a global leader in the display industry, BOE continues to lead the phone display innovation. BOE provides excellent OLED screens for top brands worldwide, driving rapid phone display iterations. Since 2023, BOE and Honor have brought multiple innovative products into the market, such as Magic V2 series with ultra-thin foldable OLED screens, the V Purse series with stylish outward-folding OLED screens, the Magic 6 series with low-power OLED screens, the Magic V Flip series with large OLED screen, and now the even thinner Magic V3 and Vs3 series. This showcases BOE’s deep technical strength and industry leadership in the phone display field.
As of the first quarter of 2024, BOE’s OLED screen shipments have ranked first in China and second globally, including wearable, tablet, laptop, automotive and phone displays. BOE remains committed to its “Empower IoT with Displays” strategy, embedding the “Powered by BOE” concept into various products and applications.
